I see the storm began yesterday afternoon around 4 p.m. PST, so it certainly would have affected the region of California. Your comment on the effect of solar (and implied geomagnetic) activity in your prediction was a nice touch since today's events seem to have independently suggested that. This is a typical swarm near Coso, and may continue for several more days. Several more events of ML>3 are likely before the 19th of July. And Don, don't eat HAGIS for supper, I think I read a post from Cathryn offering to take you out for supper. (That'll keep the old tummy from rumbling for sure!!)
