An earthquake occurred in northern Utah this morning with Ml 3.4 near the town of Magna, Utah. If you recall the area of northern Utah was expected to see far-field aftershocks activity following the Peru earthquake yesterday. Today's event is the largest in the areas since a Ml 4.4 on March 16, 1992, although an event of nearly the same size occurred near Lehi Utah on May 24, 2001. Lehi is about 40 km SE of today's epicenter. Data on earthquakes in the region of Yellowstone and Utah is available at: http://www.quake.utah.edu/req2webdir/recenteqs/Quakes/quakes0.html
