Just for some detail I checked the seismicity within 30 km of the earthquake today
near Tres Pinos California. NCSN and NEIC give the parameters as:

02Jul2001 17:33:53 36.7N 121.3W ML=4.1 NEIS CENTRAL CALIFORNIA

The Ml 4.1 is the largest earthquake within 30 km of this epicenter since
March 23, 1999 (2.3 years). Ml 4.0 quakes occurred on Dec 5, 2000 and
on Feb 11,2001 in this area.
