Just a note of interest related to the Peru earthquake. The Volcano Mayon is
very close to the antipode of that earthquake - at least it is the closest area
of high seismicity to the antipode. Seismic energy is concentrated by geometric
focussing at the antipode. The antipode is the exact opposite point on the
earth to another point, like north and south poles are antipodal points.
