Don't be too sure there is no connection between the Seattle quake and the
Peru earthquake. If you look at that far-field aftershock forecast you will see
a Mw 7.9 on Feb 19, 1600. You may recall the great quake that caused the
tsunami along the shores of the Northeast occurred in January, 1600.
