In one of my first posts regarding this subject matter I stated that I was interested in having other people participate in this effort. And I specifically put that reference to you in the heading.

Some help with setting the file permissions would be nice. I am having to try to get them right using a trial and error approach. But it is better to go in actually knowing what should be done.

My Windows Vista FTP works fine for the limited amount of work that needs to be done.\

I also have a custom made program running on my Internet Server that can be used for FTP. A file or drawing etc. is attached to an E-mail and sent to a specific E-mail address on my server along with a security password. Then that program extracts the file and stores it in the right directory at the Web site.

Using Xampp is better, in my opinion, than developing the program on the Internet Server. For one thing, multiple copies of a program can be developed all at the same time. And there isn’t any risk of getting into an endless loop that might get the Internet Server people angry. And finally, security is not a concern. If you do something accidental that lets everyone see your password file then that will happen only on your PC. The error won’t be transferred to your Internet Server account.

For Perl development I have created a special program that lets the user generate add, and test code while the program is actually running. That makes it possible to load array data into the computer and assign information to variables. And those data will remain active even if the programmer enters some bad code that would normally cause the program to crash. An error message is generated telling the person to fix the code. And the program actually keeps running with all the array data and variables intact. Their values can also be manually changed at the same time the program is running.

SeaMonkey is being used to develop Web pages such as the following one.

Finally,

This particular effort is just the ice cube on top of the iceberg. The next step would be to get the program to accept Ear Tone times, Earthquake Cloud, and other types of earthquake precursor information from people around the world, process them, and then display them at the Web site.

One of the next major steps after that would be to get a global 911 system developed.

And there is an even more important step for after that one. It represents a wide ranging formal approach for getting world problems solved.
