Actually,

I could store a copy of a png file etc. on that Web page at my Web site where your computer programs are stored. And you could put a link to that file in notes posted to the new board.

Of course storing pictures directly is easier. And I have bulletin boards available at my Web sites that could do that. But I like the WWWBoard program because I can add specialized features to it myself.
