Actually, if it's not too long, I think you should post it here.

Something that I've thought about off and on over the years is trying to explain statistics and statistical analysis methods for everyone so they understand why, when Roger says "you can't predict", why he says so.

I've desired being able to write something like that, but I have to admit I'm just barely understanding it myself.

But I think one of the biggest points of contention between the two sides of the discussion is a firm understanding of these principles. When the two sides can't communicate on this common ground, no progress is made.
