I'd like to take a moment to elaborate on "Things will basically work the same".

The primary reason I am taking over is straight forward - to guarantee that Earthwaves will continue. Canie has kept EW going now for 13 years and I feel it is worth keeping around for at least another 13 years.

I have no immediate plans on changing the format, look, feel, intent, rules, or direction of the forum. If I do have an idea for a change, I will ask the group first. It's as much your forum as it is whomever is technically running it.

I have been working on some technical changes, but if I do my programming right, no one should notice a thing. It's just behind the scenes complicated computer wizardry stuff.

And, despite past personal conflicts, EVERYONE is welcome to stay. The prospect of being the moderator gives one a different perspective than being a mere user. I would like for this to be a new beginning, a chance to move forward. The past is the past.
