Roger, attention where and by who? We had a long series of discussions here on Earthwaves, probably more than a decade ago, and you made a series of graphs on this. Lowell Whiteside introduced me to Earthwaves, and he had looked at about every possible earthquake triggering. One set of angular distances may have had to do with Earth's free oscillations, while another had to do with various reflections and refractions of seismic waves off of Earth's interior. I recall that 103 deg is near the edge of the shadow zone (?) (for others, that is where P waves are refracted so they don't reach beyod that (?), and also the S waves can't get through the liquid part of core....it's one of these). I recall that your graphs showed no relation...except maybe a very small something that may or may not have been significant near 103 deg or somewhere out there. I cannot evaluate what you are saying unless you go into more detail and show the data. Graphs are always nice.
