Earthquakes Triggering Other Earthquakes – November 30, 2012

This is a URL for a phenomenon that I thought many scientists around the world assumed was already the case.

When a major earthquake occurs along a tectonic plate boundary, strain is released at that location. And then part or even much of the two or more tectonic plates that are linked together at that location might be able to move freely once again. In theory anyway, a fault zone somewhere else along one of the boarders of those tectonic plates, even on the opposite side of one of the plates, might have some pressure put on it causing it to start slipping in various directions relative to nearby tectonic plates.

These are personal opinions.
