Hi Roger,

I saw the data that you used.

It was actually a little easier to draw conclusions by sorting your Spreadsheet data using descending order and earthquake magnitudes.

The three highest magnitude earthquakes in your data file occurred in 1960, 1964, and 1967. And there were also high magnitude ones in the years 1950 and 1963. So, if the nuclear tests were keeping fault zones from storing the tremendous amounts of energy needed for a high magnitude earthquake then it doesn’t look like they were doing a very good job with that.

I am going to guess that governments won’t be thinking too strongly about using underground nuclear tests to control earthquake magnitudes any time soon.

Now the question is,

How can those data be best displayed on charts for storage at a Web site?

That is something that can get some attention tomorrow or later. I myself have done enough computer programming and Web site work for today.
