I'm on the plateau above Trieste Italy working on acoustic imaging (seismic reflection) of Ross Sea. I'm staying in a semi-abandoned hotel; I seem to be the only one there. I eat my breakfast and dinner by myself, and drink my beer by myself. No TV, so no reality shows. So, a couple of times I tried deep thought: just to see if I could come up with some great insight on science or life or whatever. There was nothing there-empty. Just the view.
