Maybe the State is taking a breather for Memorial Day? Who knows. Looks as if things have picked up a bit today (Sunday). The San Jacinto and Coyote Creek Fault areas look lively. I still have a hunch that something might happen in that region within the next few months. Just a feeling from a long-time quake watcher! Had a little quake on the SE slopes of Shasta last week. Always watch those. I just gave a talk to a Seniors Group on the mountain and the geology (Had to remind them that I do NOT know about Lemurians, Telos, St. Germaine, etc. living up there!) Went up to College of the Siskiyous to talk with their geology prof to get up to date on current timing for the volcano, and found that it was Dr. William Hirt---also a UCSB alum! Fun to talk rocks again.
