There is a zip package you can get from IRIS (link) on this quake. It includes animations that are interesting.
They seem to imply that the M8.6 was on the NNE-SSW nodal plane but even 26 hours after the quake this seems unclear in the aftershocks, although there is an alignment of aftershocks to the NNE. But unclear to me if this was the main shock of just the NNE fabric of plate being triggered.
