California quake removed, Mexico M7 just occurred |
Maybe I'll be Island Chris when I am there, Heartland Chris when I am there, and Chris in Paradise when I am at Santa Barbara. This comes from an episode, I think, of LA Law 20 years ago, where things were going bad in LA so they drove up to SB for the weekend. OK, the California quake is gone; did not happen, but there was just a Mexico M7.0. No focal mechanism yet but near the coast at 65 km depth, so could be in slab and be normal, or could be at top of slab between plates and be thrust. Too many quakes, hard to focus on work. Follow Ups: ● Mexico downgraded, Gulf of California pair 6.9 and 6.2 - heartland chris 04:37:34 - 4/12/2012 (79799) (1) ● Re: Mexico downgraded, Gulf of California pair 6.9 and 6.2 - Canie 10:28:47 - 4/12/2012 (79803) (1) ● foreshocks, not aftershocks - heartland chris 08:32:51 - 4/13/2012 (79804) (1) ● Re: foreshocks, not aftershocks - Roger Hunter 09:47:31 - 4/13/2012 (79806) (1) ● Gulf of Cal vs. SOCAL - heartland chris 09:58:48 - 4/13/2012 (79807) (3) ● Re: Gulf of Cal vs. SOCAL - Canie 19:42:22 - 4/15/2012 (79821) (0) ● Re: Gulf of Cal vs. SOCAL - Roger Hunter 16:24:08 - 4/13/2012 (79811) (1) ● Re: Gulf of Cal vs. SOCAL - heartland chris 21:28:19 - 4/13/2012 (79812) (1) ● Re: Gulf of Cal vs. SOCAL - Roger Hunter 04:21:59 - 4/14/2012 (79813) (0) ● Re: Gulf of Cal vs. SOCAL - Roger Hunter 12:18:42 - 4/13/2012 (79810) (0) ● Re: California quake removed, Mexico M7 just occurred - also - Tony 18:55:24 - 4/11/2012 (79797) (0) ● Re: California quake removed, Mexico M7 just occurred - Tony 18:53:58 - 4/11/2012 (79796) (0) |
