Interesting, I watched the whole thing, but I can't tell whether there was any global increase outside of the aftershock area. They would have to remove all quakes from within, say, 1000 km of any part of the main rupture to show an increase globally. There did seem on the map to be times when M6+ earthquakes pop up at large distances from each other, as I have posted before, but I can't tell if this is significant.
