EARTHQUAKE PRECURSOR DATA DISPLAY PROGRAM

The first complete demonstration version of that program, EPmap.exe, can now be downloaded via the following indirect URL:

These indirect URLs are intended to help reduce Spam Mail etc. If that address does not work then people can contact me with a response post here asking for a direct URL.

The self-extracting zip file version of the program can be obtained by clicking on the link at the top of that Web page.

The Web page contains instructions for how to download the program, extract the EPmap directory, and start the programs running.

Some antivirus programs such as Norton Security might ask that the program user give special run permission to the self-extracting zip file program or the .exe programs in the EPmap directory.

There are README.TXT and Help files in the EPmap directory.

The programs should run okay on any XP, Vista, and Window7 Personal Computer. Several are fairly large .exe programs. And the first time they are run they might take as long as 10 seconds before the first chart appears.

The programs that Roger and I created and that I stored on my Web site should not contain any viruses. However, if they try hard enough, hackers can get into just about any Web site on the Internet and corrupt the files stored there. So, there are some standard virus precautions discussed on the above Web page. Inexperienced computer users who have no idea what a computer virus is might want to try running the EPmap programs on an older computer that does not contain any irreplaceable data.
