Without being an expert on this, I suspect that aftershocks for an earthquake with a magnitude that low would not cause too many problems if they did occur. However, there are times when the earthquake could actually be a signal that a larger one is approaching. And now and then that could be a cause for concern. I myself am not expecting anything major for the U.S. West Coast at the present time. In this case my guess would be that it was just an isolated earthquake that might have been releasing some stain that had collected in connection with the main fault lines in that general area. Looking at the USGS maps, that earthquake doesn't appear to me to have actually been on any of those main fault lines itself.
