Hi Roger,

I will give your comments some additional thought. However, let me remind you that one of the main reasons that that type of advisory or warning is posted is the following. And after I posted the advisory it occurred to me that I should have added this information.

There are other forecasting personnel around the world who read the EarthWaves posts including my advisories and warnings. And as you saw, there were two UTC times listed in the advisory.

Even without any exact time, magnitude, or location data for an possible approaching earthquake, those UTC times can be valuable in themselves as other researchers can check their own data to see if significant precursors were being detected where they live at those times.

The signals that I am working with apparently point the approach of earthquakes that are occurring around the world. So, those signal time data can be valuable to forecasters everywhere.

Hopefully in the future the EM Signal time data circulation process will become more organized and effective.

Regarding The Nature Of These EM Signals

A strong Aurora display that occurred several weeks ago provided me with some excellent confirmation data for my theories regarding the nature of the EM Signals I myself am working with and also some of the precursor signals that other people monitor such as Earthquake Clouds and unusual animal behavior before an earthquake.

This subject matter is quite complex. And it will have to be discussed in future reports that will likely be posted here. However, I can provide the following general information at the moment.

It appears that there is a fairly wide variety of electromagnetic type signals. And they can range in duration time from 0.25 seconds in length to perhaps a half day in length.

Some and perhaps even most of them involve interactions between energy fields such as the Earth’s geomagnetic field and earthquake fault zone rock layers. And those interactions take place at specific times that are largely dictated by forces associated with the gravitational pulls of the sun and the moon.

If there are no external energy sources such as solar storms then some of those signal are not generated even when a powerful earthquake might be about to occur.

My data suggest to me that some of the other signals such as the 0.25 second signals and the 6 hours and longer signals responsible for unusual animal behavior might have their origins exclusively in the fault zone. The 0.25 second signals could be the result of micro fractures. A small section of a rock layer fractures and releases energy possibly associated with the piezoelectric effect.

The 6 hour and longer signals and some Earthquake Clouds might be associated with a complex fault zone activity related process discussed by researcher Dr. Friedemann Freund and his colleagues.

The Devastating 2011 Japan Earthquake

Around June of 2010 I began detecting tremendous numbers of short duration signals such as the 0.25 second long signals. And that continued until quite a while after the devastating March 11, 2011 earthquake in Japan. I still have a list of about 400 of those signals that I need to process.

However, I normally don't pay too much attention to those types of signals. I had never detected anything like that tremendous, lengthy burst of signals in the past. And it was not possible to tell at that time based on past experiences that the signals were likely pointing to the approach of an incredibly powerful and destructive earthquake.
