I saw this and I am . . . incredulous. First of all, Italian prosecutions like this certainly give credence to the fact that Amanda Knox is innocent. Secondly, as a scientist, I guess you should just always cover yourself and declare imminent death very likely at the slightest geo-hiccup.

Look - not to be crass - but predicting when an EQ is going to happen is like predicting when someone is gonna "cut the cheese." You know it's gonna happen sooner or later and you just have to tell people to be ready for it.
