I don't take the NYT for centrist, and neither should you so take the WSJ. How can you read "Perry panic" and "epidemic of lefty angst" and not realize that you're listening to the views from off to the right? Obama talked big for a while, but in action he can't even schedule his own addresses to Congress. After Clinton, the pendulum has gone right and not returned past the middle. Surely you noticed the budget negotiations were decisively won by the Republicans. Perry would take it further right. The country has been moving right for years. Whatever. As I said, if the Administration declares evolution a myth, global warming to be nonsense, the creation of the Earth to have been in 4004BC, and our manifest destiny to subjugate and convert to Christianity the rest of the world, that's their prerogative as elected leaders. I'm tired of politicians, and people who believe their words rather than seeing the underlying issues, which is nearly always about who gets the wealth of this rich land. With Perry, it is unusually clear.
