Perhaps I misread your post. Where is the cost of paying for military pensions, partly incurred by previous military spending? Or would you prefer to project forward, and include the cost of future pensions that will inevitably be due for military personnel today? Where is the cost of homeland defense? The weapons take people, take R&D budgets, and incur costs that are spread across the Federal efforts. Where does it end indeed. Did you not quote the Constitution to defend current debilitating defense budgets? I would have sworn that was your post. So everyone likes our bases (e.g., Cuba, Turkey, Japan). Who then are they defending anyone against?
