Hmmm...well, back in the field, keep your eyes open! And ears.
I remember fondly (in retrospect) those dusty hot mountains behind Santa Barbara. Encountered rattlesnakes, wild pigs, a bear...and a few drunken hunters. I am working at our local museum now, and just donated a few of my old Coldwater Formation Oysters...
