Yes, that's another point I had been keeping in mind. Compared to the already massive weight of kilometers of rock, what's a few feet of water? Even tens. If this amount of weight is enough to trigger a quake, the fault was already pretty loaded to begin with. Yes, there have been quakes associated with reservoirs, but again we're talking about deep water in a small area. I'll see if I can do some BOTE* math...
