What is an A alert? What is the timing between indicator and quake?

Well...one viewing this situation might argue that the data shows that some evidence exists at the fault that small quakes may possibly be detected in advance (though I did not see the cases where the measured quantity "indicated" but no quake happened...the false alarm rate...maybe it is somewhere...).

Well..hats off to those guys for trying to "catch an earthquake" ...and it looks like they have to a degree (how big is MM3 anyway?)
