EQF; One of the output formats for the NEIC search is comma delimited, intended for use with spreadsheets. Once in a spreadsheet, reversing the order can be done by a simple sort. Removing specific quakes is another matter. It can be done as you suggest or by a circle search around the main shock's location. Neither method is very good for aftershocks which don't obey such neat rules. Place names can be added with a program I have. It supplies the names used in NEIC bulletins, derived from the Flinn-Engdahl numbers.
