I know you would never let me see EXACTLY what you are doing, but over the years of your descriptions of how your program works and all the troubles you have.... let's just say I don't think your program is written very well. Even when I have written programs that used 50 years of quake data from half a dozen catalogs, it never took more than a few tens of megs of memory, and took 10's of seconds to do its job. Oh, 'Windows Paint"? That is sooooo 90's. No, you don't need to drop a grand on Photoshop, but there are much better programs that are either inexpensive or free. Personally, I use Paint Shop Pro Photo X2, although it's at X3 now. And I do exactly what you did all the time, lining up images next to each other to the pixel. I find it quite easy to do with PSP.
