I saw a link to the following news article several days ago about someone named Ken Ring who claims to have predicted the New Zealand quakes.

The article details the failure.

What I find interesting is that while checking my web site stats today I saw that the #1 hits so far this month come from his website. (queue Bart Simpson saying "No way, man!") Anyway, I dug a little and found out why.

The following recent post on his site has a link to John Vidale's (et al) paper Earth Tides Can Trigger Shallow Thrust Fault Earthquakes which John is allowing me to host on my quakes page.

I find it interesting at times where people are being referred to my site from.
