I actually like the color!!! But then, I'm fond of greens.

Also, I have a pretty decent monitor - a 32 inch Samsung TV that I've color calibrated as best as it would allow. (Can't wait for OLED monitors to make it big - I've seen demo's - perfect color with super saturation)

If you like the hue, maybe try increasing the luminosity (HSL color model). This will result in a paler shade of the same color, thus increasing contrast between the background and the black text. I tried it in photo editing software and it looks great.

I see the current version has RGB values of 154, 205, 50. (HSL 56, 156, 128 - HTML #9ACD32)

Try this... RGB 207, 230, 154 (HSL 56, 156, 192 - HTML #CFE69A)
