Yes, Amit does make a point. But there is a difference between speculation and keeping an open mind about possible phenomena influence quakes; and insisting that somebody has a "true" answer. I know that landslides, earth movement and some quakes can be contributors to quake recordings. I cannot discount things such as barometric pressure, etc. I just do not think that (so far) they are terribly useful for good predictions. And, as I said, I dunno....
