Just curious about how far away from an earthquake you will typically hear the ear tones? Since I am now keeping up with these after noticing an ear tone at a similar time to Petra recently, I am now completely uncertain what they are related to in possible seismic activity. Originally my thinking was that the ear tone was related to the one Petra described but roughly 14 hours later, there was a 2.5 eq approximately 45 miles north of here and I am VERY far away from Petra located in central Arkansas. Yesterday morning at 8:30 AM and then again at 5:30 PM I had two short, rather mild low-pressure ear tones. Just watch and wait now?
