Super typhoon Megi, which is headed for Luzon Phillippines in about a day, has sustained winds of 155 knots, which is 178 mph, and gusts to 190 knots, which is 219 mph. The Joint Typhoon warning center does not give an air pressure: maybe no one flies into these things in that part of the world. I don't check this site all the time, but it seemed that the Western Pacific was joining the central Pacific and Eastern Pacific in being quieter than usual (eastern Pacific was predicted to be quiet because of La Nina=cooler water. see link.
