Based on past experiences, if a major earthquake were headed for California in the next few days there would probably have been a number of strong EM Signals that I would have detected. And a number of people would probably have posted notes to the Yahoo EarthWaves board complaining about headaches and nausea etc. Instead, things have been fairly quiet lately. That is not a guarantee that there will not be a California earthquake. But if there were one it would likely have to be fairly unusual, with no one seeing any warning signs that it was approaching. My own earthquake forecasting data have not been updated for a while in part because an extensive amount of computer program development work has been in progress. The first fully operational versions of the new software just got running earlier today after an effort that has been underway for several months. The most significant addition makes it possible for other researchers to have their own computer programs, written in any language, generate data that my program will then plot on charts and maps under the control of my program, or theirs, or both.
