Hi Roger. You're right. That isn't a quake. What you see most of the time is "coda" which is the normal background or wave, or pulse of the earth itself. If there were a quake the type of signal, or trace you see would be almost straight up and down. It would look like the same thing you see on a seismogram. It is very impressive to say the least.
