Re: EQF & Amit |
Oh certainly. I do admire his effort for what is in all reality a worthy goal. To keep at it in the face of mine and other's criticisms is either a sign of tenacity, or a sign of insanity. What bothers me is when people go around saying they can do what scientists haven't, and then blame the scientists for not listening to them. The truth is, folks like that DO NOT understand science, the scientific method, or critical thinking. Therefore they do not understand why the scientists are ignoring them. Further, they do not understand where they go wrong. In a nut shell, the goal of quake prediction is a very worthy one. I for one feel it will someday be possible. But when something obviously does not work, or there is a very obvious reason why it will never work, why keep trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole? It would be a shame for EQF and others to waste all their valuable energy and effort on things that don't work.
