I meant cute, not cut. Was short on sleep.
Might be interesting for someone to check when the last large quake was (and how big) on that part of the larger San Jacinto system slightly south of due west of the northern end Salton Sea. If that persistent alignment of NNE-SSW quakes that intersects near there represents slight creep, then it might be stressing things at the intersection (don't take this comment very seriously, however).
