See link to giant sinkhole: cool picture. Also, a few weeks ago there was one in Quebec Canada that killed a family of 4, but on looking for that just now I see it is described as, and looks like from that angle, a landslide. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/05/12/world/main6477019.shtml I went to 2 working sessions at a Geophysical Institute (OGS) in Trieste Italy, in 2007 and 2008, which is next door to a giant tourist cave with a chamber that is >200 m-long and 120 m-high (I think), with only 8 m of rock on top at the thinnest part. There is a field above the thinnest part but it is very close to OGS. I think the mole people are trying to get at us...
