Re: our report on nearshore southern faulting on line |
Hmm Penny, is "WOW" good or bad? I know the work is good, and I know it is different than what was done before; actually, very different. But, I was late on a 3rd extension deadline and was just waiting for the black helicopters to start swooping around to take me off to Federal prison (for not USA people, that was a joke). So, I could not re-read papers that I had not read for years. There also was not time to let it sit for a week and then re-read. Also, it is a report, not a paper, and has a different purposes, so it lacks the tectonic introduction. But, I hope it is taken seriously because, with the exception of Ryan et al., 2009, a lot of what is published, including the SCEC Community fault model and especially the 2010 fault activity map, has problems in this area.
