Howdy Chris,

The last large quake on Laguna Salada was in 1892. Based on human (felt) reports at that time along with some surface evidence, that quake was clearly a 7+ magnitude quake. This is a 120 year interval, but is not enough to construct an algorithm of events for the fault over longer periods of time. My guess is that efforts will be made to find more paleo-evidence after this quake. Hope Mexico and U.S. scientists can fund such effort, such as trenching.
