I'm sure various field geologists are in their cars ready to look for and map and surface rupture. The M7 Haiti earthquake did not have significant surface rupture (and our offshore results are ambiguous) but past quakes of this size in the area have had surface rupture. Landers had about 2 m of slip at Landers and more than 4 meters with some vertical component farther north.
