The sun set about 5 minutes ago and about 10 of us were watching it over the Gulf Stream. We got a little bit of a "green flash". I'be been looking for the Green Flash for decades, and this was probably the one one I've seen worthy of the name, but it may be pretty marginal on teh scale of Green flashes. We were going about 10 knots and a sailboat, close-hauled, with highly reefed sails, was actually catching us. I'd expect that from a big maxi yacht but this did not seem to be too big.
