Ammended version with my name this time! Hi all, I attended a private high school, Webb School of Claremont, Ca. While there I became active in The Raymond M. Alf Museum of Man. Over the years this museum, run by high school students (and a director) has become world renound for its paleontolical finds and controbutiond to the science. Dr. Malcolm C. McKenna was one of our alumni. It is also only one of some 750 accredited museums in the US. I am still active in their field work in the SoCal Desert area. 1.) I taught elementary school for 33 years with my wife. We were team teachers for most of that time. I most enjoyed science, became a resource for the schools we taught in, implemented after school science clubs and ran many Science Fairs. 2.) As a teacher I was team leader for one of the search and reasue teams on campus in the event of the big quake. My interest in earthquakes is founded on my love of earth science and wanting to be able to teach my students what is going on during a quake and in/on the world we live on. 3.) We are now retired. We particip[ate in may Wizard of Oz events around the US, doing our show, Frank and Maud, which is about L. Frank Baum and his wife Maud Gage. We do our show in costume and explore his life and where some of his ideas and characters came from. His wife was the daughter of Matilda Josyln Gage, Woman Suffragette. More stories there and her influence on Oz! 4.)I have always been interested in quake predictions in general but also predicting them through amimal behavior or other means. I have been through all of the SoCal quakes since about 1953. 5.) My wife and I love to travel and have made all seven continents, all 50 states. I have only made some 22 or so countries while my wife has some 40 or so. We even experiences a pretty good quake in the Phillipines in 1971! Bob Baum in Woodland Hills
