Hi guys: Just got back from Santa Barbara--stayed in a motel on the beach where we watched sailboats being broken up...they were stranded in the last storm.

Now home in Mt. Shasta and weeping. When we left, we had no power, no water...and snowing like all get out. Came home to see that about a third of our big trees have MAJOR damage...and the whole town is digging out from the worst storm that anybody here can remember. Lost my flowering cherry...50 ft. cedars...

Almost tried to visit Chris at the old homestead at UCSB...but too busy visiting old friends and recovering from bad cold.

Your mention of the Dibblee maps brought back memories. Did a couple of field trips with Tom Dibblee, where we discussed lack of quarts in certain conglomerates...and I remember Helmet Ehrenspeck...who died WAY too soon!

Ah, must be getting old.
