'Bout time we had a REAL rain storm.*

Seems like we get a few drops on the windshield and the news gets all melodramatic with "STORM WATCH - 2010!!!!" and pseudo-dramatic music cues.

I don't claim to have ever been in the worst storms, but I did live back in Michigan for a short time when I was younger. I've seen some pretty wild downpours.

But also, I've lived in SoCal 95% of my life, and it used to rain like what they're expecting several times a winter. The climate HAS changed.

*Of course, don't care for the loss of life and property because of it. But something I pointed out in a conversation on Haiti, Mother Nature is a cruel...errr...uhmm... "mistress". She cares not for the affairs of Man.
