Well in 1992 when Joshua tree hit it was followed a week later by a pair of mag 6 quakes in Eureka, then Landers hit. I feel like in my perception, there was another correlation between quakes in the desert and off the northern coast. So with that said, yes, its interesting and worrisome to me too to see this increased activity near Salton Sea a week after the 6.5 in Eureka.
