Estimates are that the fatality count for that earthquake is now up in the 30,000 to 50,000 range. Many children living there will never see their parents again. Many other people will spend the remainder of their lives partly or totally paralyzed. When dealing with such life threatening situations it is extremely important to be careful about commenting on what might or might not work for solving the problem. Years ago I worked with another researcher to get the predecessor to this present bulletin board organized so that serious researchers would have a resource where they could discuss the subject of earthquake forecasting and try to work together to see anything helpful could be developed. And it is really a disappointment to me to see people joining this bulletin board and then posting notes such as yours.
