I felt it. I work on the 12th floor of a Las Vegas Hotel/Casino in downtown Las Vegas. The back wall of my office is a wall of the parking structure. I was working at my computer and felt a general dizziness -- a slight loss-of-balance feeling. I felt the building swaying slightly and heard a lot of creaking -- mostly from the parking structure wall -- but no shaking, per se. I immediately went to my co-worker's office next door and asked if he felt anything. He had not -- no one else here felt it either. (I think I'm more finely attuned to earthquake movements and sounds having been through the 2-9-1971 earthquake while living in Granada Hills and then the Northridge earthquake in 1994.) It's a busy morning here. The police had the streets blocked off when I came into work and the police helicopters were circling. A bank was robbed a block away and they left a "suspicious package." And then the earthquake at 10:50 a.m. What's next? Barbara I checked the USGS website right away, but nothing showed up on there for a few minutes.
