It's interesting to note that on another quake prediction website, one with a much more credulous group of posters, supposed predictor Jack Coles is receiving much adulation for having predicted this quake. His prediction, on Sept. 23rd, appears to have comprised the following:

"South America going west. Sept. 26, Oct. 1st, 8th and 9th, 2009. Magnitude 6+."

No voices have been raised in dissent.
