Thank you, but I'm no where near the fire - about 30 miles due south. Although the view of the smoke cloud is at times incredible. Since the winds have been mild the cloud and heat plume have gone pretty high. There have even been several instances of pyrocumulus, caused by the cloud smoke plume going high enough that moisture condenses and forms a regular, although smoky cloud. At one point today it was high enough that a small lenticular formed over the top as the cloud tried to punch the stratosphere. (unfortunately, no camera handy) If one wasn't terribly familiar with events, one could easily envision it to be the results of a nuclear event. Brian
